Hello!! I haven’t really done a blog like this before! But I’ve had a lot of people requesting a little blog on my workflow SO I figured this would be a good way to share my favorite programs I use without giving away any of my editing secrets (;
You’d be surprised how many photographers either don’t use this or have never heard of it! Yes, Photoshop is great and does amazing work, but Lightroom is SO much better for editing sessions. I only use Photoshop for framing blogs and brightening eyes usually. From being able to create your own presets, to how it overall transforms your image, the possibilities are endless with Lightroom! If you are a photographer and you don’t have this… GET IT. Very simple to learn, I taught myself!
2. Portrait Pro 12
I found out about this program through another photographer, she recommended it in one of her Periscopes and I was hooked!! Now seriously near to no one has this program, it’s not popular but it’s amazing if you take portraits! I never use this for sweetheart sessions or any images of a couple, I solely use it for headshots/portraits (so seniors and bridal shots) This program allows you to smooth skin, brighten/enhance hair color, tan skin, fix blemishes, add reflections in the eyes, whiten teeth and so much more!
My workflow when editing is to “enhance beauty.” You are already gorgeous but I want to enhance that and bring out your best features! As well as add a “pop” of color and warm it up!
