Today was one of those days where I was really down on myself and my business. I became very discouraged and did what you should never do… compare yourself to others. I started comparing myself to other women, to other photographers and businesses, even to friends. I was getting very upset and of course, overthinking EVERYTHING. (I tend to do this a lot) But, on a long, peaceful ride home from school, looking out the window and the beautiful snow leftover on the trees, listening to 88.7 The Bridge; the song came on with the lyrics “…Find faith in the battle,
Stand tall, but above it all, fix my eyes on you…” Then it hit me, why am I doing this to myself? Why am I comparing me, an independent human being who has the choice to do whatever my heart desires, to everyone else? Why? God created each of us in his own design, not one of us is the same. Everyone has a purpose right? Of course! I have been so wrapped up in trying to match myself up to all these other people, that I’m forgetting one thing… being myself!
This upcoming spring I will be launching my new website, I am so excited! This website will show my personality through it, it will be me showing myself through it.
So, with that said, never ever. Compare yourself to anyone. Because…
